Most apps have 10 minutes to do what they're doing then the iPhone stops them.
I use that to see which companies send my email on to others, by adding a +websitename to things I signup to.
With a gmail account, dots are disregarded along with anything after a plus sign; so j.a.smith@gmail.com is the same as jasmith@gmail.com and jasmith+lifehacker@gmail.com. Useful for using the same email on the same website for different accounts.

You can Cmd-I on a file and then click on the image in the top left of the window - this will allow you to copy/paste another icon it. This works for apps. Deeper level things, such as the Finder, the dock and menu bar icons, can be changed from your Library but just make sure you've backed up first :)
