Miata, because resale.
The driver could have lost his brakes..
and here I thought it was the Common platform used by VW,and to save money. AMC did the same thing, where everything on the Gremlin and Hornet were the same from the B Pillar forward.
It probably weighs a hell of a lot less as well. The superbird was 3800 lbs, the challenger weighs almost 4200 lbs in stock trim
A friend had A 76 notchback with the 262 engine that was good for ~ 140 MPH ("P" on the MPH at the bottom of the speedo), but was hampered with the same clutch for the 4 cycliner manual. He spent some time first switching the clutch, then learing to drive without it. These were sleepers. NP
but why buy it to drive in LA traffic?
The biggest Issue I have with this is that the government wants cars that get better Gas mileage, ( which means lighter) and the Insurance company wants safer cars ( which means Heavier (in general) is better. We should Scrap CAFE and build the cars that are safer, and regulate the mileage requirements with gas…
I watched Gumball Rally like 14 times, before Videotape and DVDs. Love the fact that the gas prices were 55.9 cents in the movie.
I totally agree, what nice vehicles were in that movies. And I love the fact that there is a scene at a gas station where gas is like 60 cents a gallon.
Great handling of the claw by the machine operator. The way he deftly punctured the tires, was impressive!
Love the Red/Whit/Blue Hornet in he end of this video.
Reminds me of an Audi Crash where the whole passenger side was peeled off and wrapped around the driver's side. I know there is a picture out there somewhere.
gotta love how the driver is setting the handbrake and taking it out of gear before he climbs out of the car once it's in the lake! Where's it going?
1947 Plymouth Businessman's coupe with an aborted 350 swap in the engine bay,and the daash wiring taken out of it. This was when I could have gone and bought a kit to install the V8 in JC WHitney. It was $400 in 1982. The body was straight and rust free. It was the one that got away.
What's really funny is that they think all those old Electronics running the motor will still be viable, you know after the EMP from the Bombs.
