Oh god I do recall Anime Friends being especially squeezed, most notably in vendor tables. My best memories were just going to the smaller cons in Florianopolis or Itajaí (sdds Aniventure aaa).

I haven’t gone to a con in like 7 years now, but ya...it looks like nothing has changed.  We complained 20 years ago about things being a disorganized hot mess.

If there is one thing universal about animes, it’s probably this... xD

100% agree. They should have gone all-in: frictionless sliding instead of walking, expressionless front-facing face, etc.

The woman was released from a local jail late last week

When reached for comment the owner had this to say...

And the worst part is that there are plenty of women clamoring to do stuff that matches what he wants. You know how many women love lancer or gundam for example? But he is going in with preconceptions and thus will overlook or discourage the exact people who would do what he theoretically want

You’re pretty much in the same spot I am.

I have a soft spot for Mortal Kombat as an idea, but I can’t be the only one who is *exhausted* by the fatalities at this point, right? The trailer had me until it got MK 11 levels of gross. That’s probably on me for hoping they would rethink how the gore is portrayed.

Much as I might be interested, all the games I’m interested in are still integrated into and require EA’s special brand of ‘storefront’ and DRM garbage so...no thanks! I’d already have to deal with Steam’s storefront and DRM to play the games I legally purchased and owned the rights to play. That’s more than enough

I can’t condone the hack, but I have to admit that it’s on brand for Lain.

The Click Wheel was eventually replaced with a circular touchpad that didn’t move, but Teenage Engineering has seemingly drawn inspiration from Apple’s original iP0d design by giving the TP-7 its own spinning disc on the front that simulates the tape reels used on audio devices decades ago.”

I concur with the optimistic outlook on PC gaming. With how consoles are slowly evolving, they are becoming more and more like computers anyways, to the point that one can just get a computer and have access to most games that are already on consoles. They may not be the best at launch, but PC games allow mods created

Very good write up, and a lot of this echoes me. I’m also pretty happy with being a PC gamer still, and I chalk most of it up to being a patient gamer. I don’t look too much at upcoming games, I don’t preorder any titles. The first time I seriously look at any game is when it’s actually been released. Cyberpunk I

Disney:

Welp, windows 10 is going to be the last version of windows I will ever use. I think its finally time to transition to Linux full time.

My opinions of how EVA ended have changes so much in the 25 years since I first saw it(I was buying those ADV tapes when they came out). That ending alone doesn’t ruin me but if I do a full rewatch I will be an emotional wreck by the end.
