Well, thinking about it, you’re right! Buying it without any guarantee might turn the whole experience in a headache soon! Damn, I hope they oficially bring it to BR in the near future

Mano tu tem dinheiro pra comprar essa fita, vc já é blessed enough. Só fazer aquele esquema de assinar o serviço de mandar na casa de um americano e ele te entrega
“hopefully didn’t also forget to pay for it.”
I honestly hope Getty didn’t get paid for this public domain art that they’re exploiting the system in order to sell. They’re one of the Shinras of our world.
I’m sure that interview with the local po-po was just fact-finding, and not alibi-building and back-patting.
The right wing media ecosystem has spent the last decades gassing up the angriest, dumbest most heavily armed people in the country with paranoid fantasies and delusions and now they are acting surprised that the crazies are actually acting out now?
100% PC’s back then were NOT just plug and play like they are today. No setting master/slave drives, setting dip switches and IRQ’s so all your stuff would work. Big fat IDE cables boring beige boxes lol. PC folks have it SO much easier these days.
A lot of Gen X did Lan parties too, they were just ahead of the curve. The parties were a lot of geeky wholesome fun. The pictures quickly reminded me of the worst part of them though, which was hauling around the heavy CRT monitors to someone’s house. Even the desktops were a bit heavier back then.
I believe “millennial” is being used as a reference to the time period, 1995-2005, not the generation of people involved. Many (demographic) millennial gamers didn’t participate in LAN parties because we were kids and didn’t have that kind of disposable income - no way my parents would let me take a fancy computer to…
for millenials like me, imagine doing all the same things, except we were 10 to 18 years old :P
I played this hundreds of times without beating it. When I finally did I was shocked to find out there were only 3 levels.

Just get a nespresso. Way less hassle and cost, and the environmental impact may surprise you.

My favorite retort is the simple one. “The next iteration of the internet won’t be monopolized by a handful of corporations”? Then how do you access it?
It did for her, that's when she's alleging the stuff ended for her.
