it’s really weird that when an IP gets massive like Pokemon is almost detached from the category of origin, I bet many that grew with Pokemon still wouldn’t say they are anime fans

I mean. For kids born in 1990 or later, what % hasn’t seen Pokemon. I would guess it has to be a majority or somethign close of Americans under the age of 30 who have watched some anime in their lives, whether it be Pokemon, DBZ, or Naruto.

i have noticed that in weightlifting, there are a lot of anime fans for the same reason, the training motif, constantly getting stronger and absurd feats of strength being possible at the end.
