I know a guy here in Southern Wisconsin that regularly helps the local police groups with teach how to use the newer sonar equipment and has actually helped locate cars that someone thought they marked in the river.

Yeah, that was the one I remember when working with Ford of Europe stuff. It always sucked having to deal with that because the body people never wanted to make adjustments and some of the stuff we worked seemed to be take over stuff from other suppliers that couldn’t make it work.
I vaguely remember back in my early days as an OEM part designer hearing rumors about Europe having a hood height requirement at the base of the windshield to help prevent head injuries of pedestrians hit by cars. I think this might have been in the 2000s.

F1 would be smart to look at NASCAR. They dumped some of there older and iconic tracks in search of money. In turn they ended up alienating a lot of their fan base and a bunch of boring 1.5 mile tracks.

I don’t think it’s that weird. In my last job we would get meeting invites all time from customers. Especially ones that were not working in the US. I communicated mostly be email with Ford of Australia while working on a project with them. So setting up meetings via email isn’t that weird.

I’ve only used the Metra maybe a half dozen time to go to Chicago and those seemed to run on time. I guess living in Fly-over land you don't worry about public transportation much.
