Pulling the tag doesn’t do any good when the car is stolen. Milwaukee has a big issue with cars be stolen and driven until they crash it.  

It wouldn’t have mattered in Milwaukee. They did have a policy for awhile of not chasing. All it did was cause the criminals to drive fast to eliminate the chase. Why do I get the feeling that this guy’s wife is complaining about the GV80 because all her “friends” are driving the GLE and she “needs” to be driving the same thing.

I would blame it on the engineer that allowed this design to happen.   When I was working for an OEM as a designer, we had to make sure things could only be installed one way to prevent things like this happening.
