I don’t think it’s that weird. In my last job we would get meeting invites all time from customers. Especially ones that were not working in the US. I communicated mostly be email with Ford of Australia while working on a project with them. So setting up meetings via email isn’t that weird.

They are getting money from Big Snow Tires.

Here is a really good article on this.

Never had an issue with Kwik Trip/Kwik Star gas.

Kind of what I got from the article. Good for an emergency, but won’t last long on pavement.

I’ve only used the Metra maybe a half dozen time to go to Chicago and those seemed to run on time. I guess living in Fly-over land you don't worry about public transportation much.

Well to be fair, most of Japan and western Europe got leveled, so they were able to almost start over with their infrastructure.   Plus they are smaller than the US so it did cost as much for them as it would in the US.

Well I learned something today. There is a thing called a snow sock that goes over you tires. They are towards the bottom of the article.

When others depend on you or an emergency, I totally get it. But it’s the people who feel the need to go to Target before the roads are plowed in the subdivision.

Here in Wisconsin you can use them as long as they don’t cause damage to the road.   My opinion is if you think you need chains to get around, maybe it’s best to just stay at home.  Same for if you think you need 4wd for the winter.

You might want to check the driving laws in your state before you order some chains from Amazon.     Most states don't allow chains or studded tires anymore due the damage the cause to the roads.

Don’t let facts get in the way of Tesla hating on this site.

Those pictures remind me of my trip out to Utah for the ST Academy that Ford used to run. I got out there a day earlier so I can check out some sites. Drove out to the see the Bonneville Salt Flats and saw one car that decided to drive off the interstate and onto the salt flat. Their results where pretty similar to

The country is just too large for a nationwide mass transit system.    Highspeed rail is not the answer either.   Look at California that is spending billions of dollars on it and are way over budget on it.   Kind of funny I don’t recall that been covered much here.

Not a fanboy so I’m good with that.   Just tired of every article trying to slam Tesla

Are they less biased towards Tesla over there?

I would rather hit pigeons or any other small animal in my car than having a car behind me hit me for stopping for them. I’ve been behind that person who stops for a squirrel trying to cross the road and damn near hit them when they stopped.

One thing I see in my town, is a parking lane then a bike lane next to it. One solution is to eliminate the parking lane next to the bike lane. Most of the roads in my town are not designed to have a bike lane and parking lane. Yet they keep trying to put them in. Some of the roads even swap sides for parking lane so
