Just not that funny. The timing and delivery is pretty weak. The guys that did the Apple video just did a much better job in general. I'd like to see their take on "Sh*t Android Users Say".

I like it. I've had a small one of these holding coral or something in my living room for many years now. I wonder though, will it be as wobbly as my miniature version? The holes in the legs leave quite a lot of play and any good impact makes the whole thing slip off center.
Huh? Undisputed at the level of handmade furniture from the 19th and 20th century? You are out there in the ether man.
The argument isn't over if they have a patent to move an image on screen to unlock a device. Obviously they do. The argument is over if they should be allowed to patent a minor tweak to an already existing concept (slide to unlock on a mobile device). How does using an image instead of just a gesture meet a…
I don't need to be a mechanic to put gas in my car, and I don't need to work at the patent office to tell you Apple being granted a patent for something with prior art is borderline criminal.
I never said you wouldn't or shouldn't. I said people buying apple for the ecosystem are not a niche.
Why drool over the idea of something smaller and lighter when 7 inch tablets already exist? I've no doubt there are a thousand different niches, but buying Apple for the sake of it being an Apple product is not one of them. That and the ecosystem are the main reasons people will be purchasing this over the much…
I just love the fact that they upped the score with no comment or justification. The review Sam posted yesterday remains unchanged, and if that review is for a 2.5... I would hate to see a one star. Sam wrote the review as if the surface's cover had just slaughtered a village in front of his eyes.
Oh you changed it to 2.5 stars. How generous. Now its up the same level as the YOUniversal 3D glasses (http://gizmodo.com/5942064/xpand-youniversal-3d-glasses-review-compatibility-comes-at-a-price).
The beginning of the statement tells me exactly where his head is at. No need to read into it any further. The author has chosen a camp, and in his mind, this means every other prospective tech buyer out there must be sitting in a camp as well. Its broad generalizations like this that make attempts at objective…
The original comment never hinted at how well it should sell, or the reasons for it selling. He simply highlighted the INSANE amount Apple charges for extra storage. If you can justify their storage prices then I guess just keep enjoying that kool-aid man.
I'm glad the product could work well for your students, but it really isn't relevant to any kind of market price point discussion. Well funded special ed. programs aren't going to move 250k units. Your "sweet spot" is a niche.
Agreed. Credit was given to Apple for their user focused, and highly polished UI. They received it in the form of massive market share. Doing something better doesn't mean you own the principles behind it regardless of who came before you. It simply (and rightly) gives you an advantage in the marketplace.
Apple's patent is a joke. They took an age old concept that someone else used first one the same medium, and gave it a minor tweak. Push enough of these in to the patent office and you we get a few BS patents. Apple never should have been awarded the patent, be it an image, or the concept of slide to unlock on a…
When you have a degree I know you have at least been introduced to the relevent material. I know you are capable of committing to something for an extended period of time. I know you can work around deadlines, can deliver measurable results, and are capable of learning. I know you have at the very least, some form…
To be fair... over 40% of all projects on kickstarter get funded. Kickstarter has been around for many years, I doubt you would get 40% of all projects getting funding if 90% of the products were shitty.
If they were really lucid dreams... you could put the logo there.
I know Gizmodo has a strict no kickstarter policy (that makes sense for a tech blog right?), but these were part of a kickstarter that was successfully funded many months ago. Even at the new price point they may do quite well. There is a large lucid dreaming community out there, and they are always hungry for an…
