No, people hate the Transformers movies because they're shallow, soulless movies with wafer thin plots that consist almost solely of endless CGI set-piece battles so frenetic that you can't actually tell who's who, a horrible leading actor who's actually got less character and expression than the CGI robots, are so

Deluxe Paint was awesome. I have several copies of Deluxe Paint III, that were bundled with several different Amiga computers I owned, and I think either IV or V which I bought separately. Absolutely amazing program.

Ah, yep. From that point of view you're absolutely right - sorry. I was forgetting most of those machines were competing against the previous generation and that most people were hanging on for a Saturn, Playstation or an N64. Stupid of me really - I tried them all in their demonstration stands in a Virgin Megastore

I still don't see how you're differentiating between what's a 'proper' console and what isn't. If it's not a computer and relies on your TV and you can play games on it, it's a console - regardless about where it was and wasn't released, or how many original titles it had, or how many ports of existing games there

I'm afraid I don't see your point. It's not like a machine doesn't count as a console because it doesn't have tonnes of software and is available in all territories. All the machines of the 5th generation were available overseas, bar the FM Towns Marty and NEC's PC-FX. However, NEC's previous machines, the PC Engine

Sega Saturn, Sega 32X, Sega Neptune (announced but never released), Atari Jaguar (also, Jaguar CD), Phillips CDi, Apple/Bandai Pippin, Commodore Amiga 32, 3DO, Nintendo 64, Sony Playstation, FM Towns Marty and NEC PC-FX. All within a couple of years of each other and a large proportion of those having terrible

The "mostly shooting clones & soldiers" thing was for Aliens: Colonial Marines, wasn't it?

Would depend on the game. But they'd do things like bring up your map in Doom or Aliens vs Predator, or strafe left and right, and change weapons. Most of them weren't used all the time, and the Pro controller (6 face buttons, two shoulder bumpers) were mapped to the buttons you usually used in Jaguar FPS games, so

Given the reaction to the initial plans for the Xbox One when they were unveiled, can you imagine the backlash if they had shipped without a disc drive?

Bet you say that to all the boys.

Yeah. The took the othewise cool neon logo from the Peter Davison years and distorted it a wee bit for Colin Baker's Run. For Sylvester McCoy's stint, I'm not entirely sure what they were thinking.

And? Some people like to drive a Honda, some people like to drive a Mercedes. Both do the same thing. It comes down to personal preference. Same with a PC and a Mac.

British consumer law is pretty clear on this sort of thing. The company messed up. They can ask for the Vitas back, but they have no real legal recourse to claim them, since they were sent as - for all intents and purposes - a gift. Because the consumer did not ask for, nor have to pay for the Vitas.

As a British citizen, I'm pleased to say our consumer laws are actually some of the most stringent in the world, and is heavily weighted in the consumer's favour.

Why? He came back from the dead. Thats some Zombie Voodoo shit right there.

Yeah, I've had a go of it. Quite liked it. And yes, you're completely right about the Adventure Games being a little repetitive - but I think that's really if you play them through in one go. They were released episodically over quite a while originally. Eternity Clock was just a bit bleh, which was a real shame.

You're welcome. Anyway, I enjoyed the Adventure Games. They were fun. Nothing ground-breaking, but they were fun. Certainly, they were the closest they've gotten to a decent Doctor Who games that captures the feel of the series. Evacuation Earth on the DS was a just a Professor Layton clone, Return to Earth on the Wii

Oh yes. No question.

You can buy them from outside the UK via Direct2Drive. Episode 1 & 2 are bundled together. The rest are seperate. Each is about £4.
