Boot comes from boot locker, which was found on stagecoaches, horse-drawn carriages and the like. So 'horse-drawn carriage' became 'horseless carriage', which became 'car'. The boot locker (where you kept luggage, etc) became the 'car boot'.

Pathogenesis isn't unknown in reptiles, so it's not unfeasible (in as much as the science behind a giant radioactive iguana can ever be feasible).
Been replaced by a picture of something called "Muffin Knight" now.
However, Jason Momoa did play Conan the Barbarian recently.
I agree. I prefer controllers to mouse/keyboard. Weirdly, HL1 on PS2 supported USB mouse/keyboard combos. I was surprised they didn't carry that over to The Orange Box, or that more 1st person shooters on PS2/PS3 haven't made use of the idea.
Damn right dude. It's make it so much easier for people dependent on sip & puff switches, etc. They could configure their games any way they want. And it'd be good for the able-bodied players too. Who wants to use R1 & L1 as triggers in Uncharted when you could have R2 & L2?
There's millions of kids and adults who are otherwise immobile who immerse themselves into the world of video games, because it offers them a level playing field with able-bodied people. The may not be able to kick a football or tear round a racetrack in real life - but games offer them that escape.
Xbox One? Xbox One Eighty, more like.
I did the opposite with my Wavebird - swapped out the C-stick for the left stick from a 3rd party controller. Work's great and much more comfortable to me than the yellow C-stick. Playing Goldeneye on the Wii is a charm now.
Obviously, it's because to the ENTIRE REST OF THE WORLD, Football is that game with two teams of eleven men, kicking a spherical ball around for 90 minutes, with each team attempting to score more goals than the other.
There's not just XBox's servers to consider - what happens if the consumers broadband goes down for a couple of days? What if someone lives in a part of the world where they can't even get a decent connection (like large swathes of rural America)? I live on an island 200 miles off the coast of Scotland & 200 miles off…
As I understand it, the Al Jazeera we get in the UK isn't the same Al Jazeera that broadcasts out of the middle east - although they share the same name and graphics. Al Jazeera in the UK is actually quite a moderate and resectable news organisation. Several ex BBC journalists and editors work there.
The commercial networks have to abide by the same rules on being non-partisan and to not editorialise. Radio news is the same. It makes for a much healthier output of news across the spectrum.
I have to agree that the N64 pad isn't the most comfortable design. I have pretty big hands and I find when I hold the central fork, my left hand is uncomfortably jammed between the central and left forks. Luckily, there are N64 pads out there that did away with the trident design. I'm awaiting a Hori Mini Pad from…
Has anyone got a chocolate orange to hand? Couple of commentators really dragging out his thread and are severely getting on my tits.
Meh. Blowhard moron TV pundit spouting bullshit opinions like they're fact. He can go fuck himself.
I seen what you done.
Well, Nintendo used to make the carts different shapes or the same shape but with incompatible TV standards between Japan, PAL regions and North America. PAL and Japanese SNES/N64 carts are physically identical but separated by different TV standards, where as Japanese and North American SNES/N64 carts are on the same…
"...if we take UK specifically every terrorist act was done by them"
The IRA, Real IRA and the Ulster Voluntary Army. All Christian (Catholics & Protestants), all terrorists. Now what was that meaningless piece of drivel about all terrorists being Muslims you were bullshitting?
