I've had a perfectly good 1080p 32" HD TV for the last couple of years, so I don't feel the need to move over to 3D anytime soon. Maybe if they get glasses-free screens into the shops, but I'm happy to hold onto my cash and wait and see what develops in the meantime.

I'm not saying never buy new stuff, but for most people, the Television seems to be the one major piece of electronics you change the least. You pick a good one and stick with it until it dies. At least I do. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's kind of redundant to keep pushing 1080p 3D televisions just now when when

While the electronics companies keep pushing bigger and better resolutions, I don't see how 3D will ever take off domestically. What would be the point in buying a large, HD 3D TV now if a 4K HDTV is going to replace that in three to four years?

So some profile called FuckYeahAmurricaW00T has been created solely to comment on the previous comment. Suspicious.

It's a bizarre dichotomy, I agree. Individually, you're perfectly decent people. Collectively, you guys seem a bit weird. Things like saluting the stars and stripes just seems odd to us. Maybe it's because Britain is an old country and we've become cynical. We had our time in the sun and can see the same thing happen

He's right though - you guys aren't that exceptional. You're just very good at some stuff and in other ways you're really screwed up. The rest of the world kind of looks on and wonders what they put in your drinking water.

Portrait mode videos are horrible. They could disable them though - most smartphones have an accelerometer to tell it to flip the web browser to landscape when you put the phone on it's side. Just program the phone so that it won't shoot video unless it's in landscape. Simple.

Ba-Zing!

To be fair, people kept bitching about the PSP never getting a 2nd circle pad through at least five hardware revisions. However, the Vita is backward compatible with a lot of PSP downloadable titles, and you can assign the right stick in a variety of ways. It works really well with Monster Hunter and Resistance

I'm choking on my own vomit here.

That was my first micro and it has a lovely keyboard - especially as so many micros at the time had horrible calculator-style rubber keyboards. The only thing I didn't like on the BBC was that it was to easy to hit Break and rest the whole damn machine.

You're making the assumption that banks are run by competent people, aren't you?

I dunno how Prepaid mobiles work in other countries, but in the UK, you buy your phone, then you buy credit for your phone. This comes either in the form of top-up vouchers printed off at a shop's cash register. The voucher has a unique 14 digit number, you dial a credit top-up line, enter the number and bingo -

Actually, in the UK we use Pounds Stirling. (£ or sometimes UKP). ;D

Caves of Androzani is a great story. I'd also add Horror of Fang Rock, Spearhead from Space The Happiness Patrol as good examples of the show.

I had (have) that exact joystick for my Amiga/Spectrum. It was awesome.

Terror of the Zygons (out on DVD soon) is similarly brilliant.

What the hell was Stevie Wonder doing behind the wheel? He's only got himself to blame.

Simple. They're really, really pissed off.

That's the Queen of Hearts from Alice - not a guard.
