heh. It's a running joke since the commentator Jason Chen said Luffy might be the first non-Asian to win SFIV, and then after thinking a second, he corrected: "uhhh... the first non-Asian Asian to win."

It's a joke at the commentators who were trying to figure out his nationality, because the guy was from France but very much looked Japanese. They kept tripping over their words in a desperate attempt to figure out what to say regarding his nationality as someone from Europe winning was big news.

Same here. My first time playing (5th grade) was with a friend's New Game+. I beat Lavos there and was totally confused by the lack of plot resolution and weird ending.
