Roy was definitly cooler, but once you got into super competitive smash bros, you HAD to worry about tiers (to some degree)... Marth was like... Tier 1 where as Roy was bottom of the list. Fable one was good for having a solid action RPG, even tho it wasn't nearly as insane as they claimed... Fable 2 is trash, and Fable 3 is beyond trash... The only thing that those two games did that were "fantastic" was the co-op and online co-0p... more games need that.
