I get that’s what Vertigo was founded to do but I’m 100% sure Sandman is DC owned. It started in 1989 under dc and was a launch title for Vertigo in 1993. Same with Hellblazer, DC owns all the rights to it but still published under Vertigo.

I’d of thought Sandman was under a standard work for hire contract since it started in 1989 and Vertigo didn’t launch until 1993. Plus dream was an offshoot of classic sandman and I can’t see DC a few years after Watchmen giving media rights to a derived character. 

In the comics, Yorick did a lot of stupid shit that nearly got him killed because he had survivor guilt over being the last guy. Though, he was cured of it thanks to a spy friend of 355 and her bdsm therapy.  Yes, that happened.
