What is really funny about this show is how badly prepared the contestants on later series are.

In another episode they got a rinky-dink robot that couldn’t withstand shit.
The German robot failed because the upper bureaucrats lied to the Germans about the amount of radiation, so they sent something that couldn’t stand the heat. The robot that worked was the Russian spare lunar lander robot.
It’s almost like the pet mechanic being called not a full feature but just flavor is because it’s both sloppily implemented AND bugged...
