Here's the way I look at it for the US: we need to at least draw in two matches and win the third. So, I look at the pots and think who can we beat, who can we draw, and who will kick our ass. We obviously want to play teams we could tie or beat, and so here are the teams I'd prefer to get pooled with from each pot:
