I’m sorry, but ‘AGW stuff’ isn’t listed. Also, it makes sense to increase the budget of stuff that is widely regarded by scientists in the field as a major problem.

God that Pinarello is ugly.

Ah. So NASA is part of a lobby. The more people are scared of AGW, the more money NASA will get to launch more rockets! And we all know each rocket launch improves the air quality! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

Why does the P1800 always have to be compared to a Ferrari? Those shoes are too big to fill. The P1800 looked nice, but shared its underpinnings with the decidedly pedestrian Amazon, had a tractor-like engine and couldn’t touch a Ferrari in almost every area (except longevity).

The only strawman is you turning me into ‘someone on the left’.

Boy oh boy. Just because you’ve put wild unverified claims in a list, doesn’t mean they aren’t still wild, unverified claims. Let me give you an example:

I think AGW is insignificant.

You seem to be stuck in a sharp divide between ‘the rich’ and ‘the poor’. This makes your arguments easier to build, but ultimately you will find they lack real world significance.

3rd gear.

Even the doorlocks on the 33 stradale were an afterthought. They cared so little about street practicality they even let the interruptor switch stay on the outside of the car.

that, and conrods, crankshaft, ECU, injectors, fuel pump probably, exhaust manifolds (although those look suspiciously long as well!).. basically a whole bunch of stuff and you need to remove the engine in any case so it’d be easier to swap in the real deal from the get go. But I don’t think the engine mounts are

Citroen 2cv concept from 1939, the ‘tpv’ or ‘Toute Petite Voiture’

You can find peace in the fact that Jag uses the V8 long block for the ‘v6’.

Well, just the single ‘combustability’ problem. They were also very slow, uncontrollable if there was just a touch of wind, fragile and expensive.

Tell me about how you have not ever benefitted from being born where you are.

That argument works both ways. Let me demonstrate:

Isn't a single platform vulnerable? It means that if one car doesn't measure up to the competition, the entire lineup from Polo to Passat won't measure up. So that's a huge gamble everytime a new platform is developed. Also, I'm going out of a limb here and assume that this single platform will need to last longer

I stand corrected. Edited for clarity.

I'd put my money on hybrid electric without the turbosuperchargers. The continued popularity of the Zonda seems to indicate people would rather have a V12 without turbo's.
