The S-Class is the embodiment of Mercedes. The S-Class has been on the throne since the 70's. The throne has been wobbly from time to time (Lexus), but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

I'd say that honor belongs to the Ferrari 250 LM, which is a year older.
The new optional package is priced at £2,025, or about $3,400 in our money if the Cupra was sold here, which it sadly isn't. That's a shame, because I'd take one over a Volkswagen Golf R in a heartbeat.
The Miura is prone to catching on fire when the carb gaskets dry out, has issues with front end lift, and the engine and gearbox share their oil. Which makes for a car that you basically can't drive, ever.
And for some odd reason, it took untill well into the sixties for collapsible steering columns to become commonplace

More ponies in your corral can spell trouble if additional upgrades aren't also taken, and this car has those in spades. That starts with the 6-speed Honda gearbox, and radiates out to reworked suspension at all four corners, as well as upgraded brakes to keep the party in check.
How do people respond to it?
