I can’t say you interpret it wrong. I can say that your interpretation was different from how others took it.

I...can’t argue with that.
No I said it feels like people are willing to do that. However from what I read in articles and even comments, people get so worked up and passionate over everything to a point where it gets eye rolling. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more true than not.
Valid points.
I do understand. And you’re one of the cool ones to have the live and let live attitude for viewing experience. And you have a right to feel upset when you hear people comment on it. I usually see more articles from reviewers, directors, or actors stating how much cinema experience is the better of the two. But, the…
Came out around December 10th. Hollywood can be dumb, but no more dumb than any other studios across the world. And then it can have it’s moments.
Awesome. Hope you enjoy it. I’ll be watching it at home. And it will be interesting to see how much money it’ll make before it’s Chinese release date in January, unless that too gets cancelled like Spiderman was.
That may be the case, but it didn’t change how people felt or the final outcome. And Spielberg himself in a panel discussion came out saying stuff that made it feel like you’re going to watch a movie but pay attention as if in you’re in class.
A lot of comments in other news articles suggested that. It’s a valid point.

You might want to add in a 4th. It’s a sticking point to some. But I personally felt Spielberg went overboard in making it feel authentic and respectful by not including subtitles for the spanish dialogue. How is it disrespectful? I’m Puerto Rican/Italian. And if I were on any movie and Spielberg or any director assure…
Yeah, there’s an evolution on how people feel entertained and what they see as entertaining. I mean, I was talking to a coworker about Arcane and how I said, “that anime show, Arcane, was popular enough to be renewed and it’s worth a watch,” and my coworker said, it’s not anime. It’s computer made, it was made for an…
Yeah this doesn’t seem like the kind of controversy that’s similar to the actor who was fired on the Expanse or Chrish Noah level. It seems more like just bad behavior while on the clock. Too many complaints from too many people over the years. Warnings weren’t working. Training didn’t work. The showrunners knew he…
I agree. That quote seems like an unnecessary jab for a different debate. I know people that don’t even have large screen TV’s but prefer watching it at home. Some by TV others by computer. And you know what, more power to them. Nothing wrong with people loving to go to the cinemas, but don’t shame people that either…
There are many articles talking about the success of Spiderman and the failure of other movies that aren’t part of the superhero franschise. Spielberg’s failure of West Side Story. Del Toro’s Nightmare Alley. Other movies made for cinematic purposes that Ridley Scott will be shaming everyone for not watching real art.
Yeah. It’s not even feeling like you’re watching something in the 80's anymore.
With the death of Grandpa and Adam is pretty much graduating High School, I always imagined that’s how the show was going to end. All the children out of the house and move on with their college year lives in the 90's. So I was surprised they’re still not just saying next season will be it’s last.
I really would like to ask questions on someone that worked on the film. I really feel like it had a different ending and then they were forced to change it because of covid. Then things got worse and then they were forced to finish shooting the whole movie in a single day.
The dream/nightmare sequences are beautifully haunting. Although if you don’t have your TV/monitor/phone settings set right, it might be so dark you can’t fully see the creepiness’ to it. There was some nice haunting music to it. The acting is what you would expect for a low budget little scifish indie horror. But…
The move itself looks fun. Nicolas Cage can definitely make a meta movie about himself look bonkers with heart.
