But I’m still hanging around a bit.
Hot Wheels did it! They made my day, by making my car, in the SRT8 casting rather than the (also awesome) Drift casting, as a Treasure Hunt!
Here are a couple of the 2009 Walmart-exclusive Fright Cars series, which I stumbled across at a flea market 8 days ago.
Today I was back into Halifax (Dartmouth actually, on the other side of the Halifax Harbour) for a Mopar Show, so on the way home I stopped at Walmart and TRU to check out their offerings... Ended up spending about $15.
As we hit almost dead centre in the 2015 Hurricane season (Jun 1 - Nov 30), and as Tropical Storm Erika leaves a trail of death and destruction in its wake through the Caribbean, let’s take a moment to pause and enjoy the model Mercury chose to name after the Pacific Ocean’s alpha storm, the Mercury Cyclone.

Today’s DLM features two T-Buckets, the Hot Wheels Larry’s Garage series #14 T-Bucket vs. the Johnny Lightning Street Freaks series #19 “American Glory” ’23 Ford T-Bucket.
Today’s DLM is the Midnight Otto, from the Hot Wheels 2002 collection. This casting was first released in 2002 in two colours as part of the First Editions series, and in a third colour as part of the regular line. This metallic purple example is one of the latter.

These three Beetles came pre-DLM’d.
