If the company is confident that they will sell those units, as these long lines and general complaints about scarcity can attest, that is a very real request. Adjust the numbers and unit request for a reasonable surplus and they would expand their users, creating a better experience with more households once again

That’s like saying that the PS2 and Wii are still beating the PS4 and Switch.

“Also, the mobile market is massive in Japan. Most people are more likely to spend time gaming during their daily commute than at home”

There are dozens of us in Japan that love the Xbox One! DOZENS of us!!

Everything’s a conspiracy to you huh?

Doing something controversial then backing down isn’t what I would call “a good publicity stunt”. If it was then Xbox would have had a great publicity stunt when they announced DRM for the Xbox One only to back down due to backlash. Take-Two regained a small amount of goodwill they lost, nothing more.

At this point Nintendo either has some very awful, awful marketing departments, who insist that short-handing supply lines is a good idea, or Nintendo really is that bad at managing production of their hardware.

Yeah, I can’t really think of another publisher that’s pulled this specific set of bullshit moves with a remaster . Sony released the Uncharted trilogy for $60, Bioshock Trilogy was all three games and DLC’s for $60 - even Nintendo included the Mario Kart packs with the Switch DX release.

To not only separate the DLC

I had no idea the sale was starting today. I was just going on there to try to buy Tekken 7, and it spat out a 503 error and told me Steam is currently experiencing a heavy amount of traffic.

Totally, especially since planning and provisioning for this kind of thing is super easy at this point. They’re Valve, so maybe they like sticking to their own servers, but they could use AWS or Azure or GCC (or whatever Google’s calling it now) to spin up more servers to handle the extra load they know they’ll be

I don’t play this game, but I like the slow buildup thing. A lot of games that constantly add features over time and almost evolve into a different type of game (Minecraft and GTA Online are two that immediately come to mind) don’t have an overarching story to go along with it. I’m not saying they have to, but I think

I’m not much for VR but I loved the trailer for this game during the PSVR segment. I hope it’s eventually playable in a non-VR form unless it’s specifically built for it.

both of these questions have since been answered in the affirmative. yyes, I’m as thrilled as you are.

I should read Kotaku more...I thought you guys didn’t have this up yet and emailed the tip line. OTOH I’ve been sick.

Have not game companies like Blizzard been able to sue and win cases regarding online cheating? So far as cheating breaks an End License User Agreement, our governments do give a shit about online cheating.

Same. I backed it as well fully expecting no release until possibly late 2018-2019 at the absolute earliest, despite them saying it was scheduled for a December 2017 release.

This is just one of the many reasons people find the game to be so toxic. Being placed an entire division lower than the one you clawed through and earned last season feels like a chore, not an achievement, since it’s a team based game, and at the end of it, your fate is still largely in the hands of 5 other players

They’re making an ass of a very beloved character.

I hate to sound super cheesy, but in reality any video game IS art.
