How is this even a thing? Sekuhara (sexual harassment) is a real problem, Matahara (maternity harassment) is a real problem but surely Nuuhara isn’t.

Come on it has clearly taken at least some inspiration from the likes of Alien Isolation and Bioshock. It would craziness to suggest that it isn’t at least partially rooted in the single player western horror shooters of the last decade.

Plus the smoke, the insufferable noise, the smells that hangs in the air, and the devastated expressions of people who have clearly been in there for the largest part 24 hours but just can’t tear themselves away from a screen and back into the real world.

As someone who has been in several PC Bangs, I can honestly tell you that PC Bangs and Korean gaming culture are by no means cool. They’re a fucking nightmare.

I’ve actually played it and I’m telling you that it is the other way around.

This game is more like a first person shooter than those you mentioned are though surely. It also looks far more western in appearance than those games did.

It’s actually not as scary as a lot of people have reported that it is. It’s scary by classic Resident Evil standards definitely but it’s not really Outlast, Amnesia or Alien Isolation material. Most of the horror relies on jump scares and you are very rarely completely defenseless in it.

Not surprising since every piece of research I have read suggests that a first person camera is a turn off to most Japanese gamers.

I haven’t seen that option and it’s a Denuvo game so nobody is going to be modding it in very soon either.

You would be correct to imagine that. The design problems, technical issues and overall masochism of those games is what puts me off them.
