There’s some weird timing issues between the Golden Globes and the Emmys when it comes to The Bear. Due to the strikes, the Emmys got pushed back to January 15th. The Emmys eligibility window is from June to May so this year’s ceremony is for shows released June 2022 to May 2023. The Golden Globes eligibility window…

I believe that this is standard game show practice not to give the prize until the show airs. For instance, I know that The Price is Right won’t give you your winnings until the show airs to avoid spoilers. 

Space is a pretty big space. 

They have all the other weird Peanuts specials too like It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown and Why, Charlie Brown, Why? A lot of these specials were only broadcast a few times and were only available on DVD before.

I guess they could de-age her like they did for Hayden Christiansen in Obi-Wan and Ashoka, but I’m not sure what story that could tell. I wouldn’t mind a What If story about what would have happened if Anakin didn’t fall to the dark side starring an older Hayden and Natalie. 

Feliz Navidad is #1 on my list. While it does have good music, the repetitive lyrics drive me crazy.

According to the CR article, the Lightning only got 270 miles to the charge 50 miles less than advertised. Yikes! 

I hope that the writers and actors get better residuals from streaming shows in the future. With the current contracts only something like 0.5% of streaming shows qualify for the high viewership bonus. With the vast amount of streamers now having an ad tier, they should have enough money to pay the actors and writers…

That’s not how the Emmys work. The Emmys eligibility window is from June to May to coincide with the broadcast schedule and not the calendar year like the Oscars.

Something that I had forgotten was that his Spider-Man character originally appeared in the Incredible Hulk movie. 

There must have been a lot of lead in that cinnamon for the applesauce to be considered contaminated. I would guess that cinnamon would account for less than 1% of the total weight of applesauce so that means that the cinnamon would have to have 100 times the amount of acceptable lead in food to trigger the recall. 

But still awesome! 

I wonder if this is something that the theater chains asked for themselves. The writers and actors strikes combined with the normally slow January/February box office probably created a lot vacant screens for this period.
