It will be interesting to see if or by how much the ratings drop after Ellen leaves the show after the next episode. The show added a whole bunch of new interns this year to rejuvenate the show, but the new characters kind of suck.

That seems likely. Based on how long it’s taken the author to write the previous books, the last book won’t be out until 2026 at the earliest and the producers couldn’t keep the cast under contract for that long.

Yes, the author released the ninth book in 2021. She has said that she has ten books planned so the show will probably end before the final book is out. It will interesting to see how they adapt it.
