Deadline is reporting that Julie Hagerty was taking over the role of Ralphie’s mom. It doesn’t look like Melinda Dillon has acted much since the mid 2000’s so it’s possible she turned down the chance to reprise her role. I’m glad that they’re not recasting the old man though. Darren McGavin is iconic in that role.

It would have to be Netflix. They have the streaming rights to LoT for until five years after it ends. I don’t know if they would pick it up.
