They should have animated Tom & Jerry in the style of their 60’s Eastern Bloc cartoons. I was very confused when these cartoons popped up in the regular rotation.

Yup, Disney has moved all their most valuable IP (Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) to Disney+. Paramount put all the Star Trek on Paramount+. Warner has put quite a bit of their DC content elsewhere like Epix and the CW, but most of their new stuff is going to HBO Max. Basic cable is mostly repeats and old movies now. 

One thing I’ve noticed even in the pre-pandemic times is that basic cable networks have cut down on the scripted shows they have. TNT and USA just have a few shows now and several networks like E!, MTV, VH1, Pop and WGN have gotten out of the scripted business.
