As batshit as it was, “The Twins” is probably the most distilled, fully encapsulated Star Wars I’ve ever seen.

On top of all that, which I agree with, what was really nice is it wasn’t an anime that happened to have Star Wars trappings, or Star Wars that happened to be in an anime style. It was both of those things completely.

It’s really important to remember that Giant Sequoias are not only fire-adapted trees living in a fire-adapted ecosystem (that we’ve removed fire from for near-on a century now), but in order to reproduce, Giant Sequoias REQUIRE fire.  This whole “fire is bad” thing is entirely a human (specifically European

Gotta have clouds before you can start cloud seeding.

Dude, are you cucksplaining me?

Unfortunately, it looks like we missed out on the chance to become Qux® First Look Trailblazer Test Pilots. Maybe down the line.

I nominate Gizmodo to purchase Qux, and let us know what it does

a device named after cuckolding and that does... something indiscernible no one can figure out.”

raise nearly $172,000 on crowdfunding site Indiegogo”

That’s what it does.  That’s all it does.

So it’s a web portal, presumably mass produced in Shenzhen like everything else, with presumably a custom built android interface, that will directly interface with the thousands of existing servers on the world wide web that they denounce as a bad thing, how exactly is this going to be more secure than anything else?

And that is the problem... a company worth 475 million that generates 75 million a year being slapped with a 10 million dollar fine. And Schmitt paying 300k and not being able to serve as an officer or director of any public company for 3 years.... oOOOOoh. Shit like this you should be barred for life. But this is

Maybe it’s time for an omnipotent godling from the Q Continuum to put TikTok on trial and see if it can justify its existence.

The whole premise of your argument is that climate change will not end civilization and things are better than ever is lacking in a lot of nuance.

Same. Born in 67 and went thru the same thing. Now I’m worried about my trans son and also if I’m going to be in another civil war thanks to the “Christians” in this country thinking it’s better if they’re in charge.

Born 77. Same. I remember as a kid being worried about acid rain and the whales going extinct. And for the most part those fears have abated. Acid rain isn’t a thing. Humpback whales are listed as “Least Concern” population increasing. Rivers no longer catch fire. Still those problems seemed so far away.

Mid-millennial here. Definitely can attest to the “not sure if want to have kids” in part due to climate crisis category. There’s a lot more nuance to that discussion, but it is a seriously difficult mental hurdle currently to commit to raising a kid while guessing how quickly the impending long and brutal climate

Any time I think about criticizing kids these days I remember I grew up in the oasis between fears of an actual nuclear war behind me (granted War Games and The Morning After came out when I was young, but we weren’t doing duck and cover drills in school) and before the fears of global warming, an eternal war on

Drove a rwd hemi Chrysler for years through new England winters just fine. The difference is wen u lose control in a fwd it’s okay Jesus take the wheel versus in a rwd u actually have the ability to throttle out of the skid. Give her some extra gas , cut the wheel and have some fun instead of barreling into that tree

That RWD is bad in the snow.

Keeping your A/C off will noticeably increase your gas mileage.  Maybe that was true 30 years ago, but not so much today.  Similar to how manuals offer better gas mileage than automatics.  Not so much today.

“lifetime” fluids. No, your transmission is not service free...it just means they don’t want you checking the levels yourself and making sure its serviced at the dealer. Every single dealer will recommend a replacement interval for that fluid.
