I’m kind of liking this show, the characters and plot are much more fleshed out and interesting compared to dark matter. It’s a shame it looks so crap and cheap. The CGI is terrible and the sets are so damn dark and boring. Hopefully they’ll get a higher budget in the future if the show proves popular.

It was kind of unoriginal.. but I still liked it. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s good, or if it’s because it’s the first damn space show on tv in forever! I’m so starved for a space shows I could probably watch anything. :(

I was getting kind of sick of Star Wars before, but then the trailer for the new movie came out I was starting to get hyped. It was really weird being excited for Star Wars again. But now just reading about all of these spin-off movies I’m kind of getting sick of it all again.. :S

Heh, good choice! This movie is awesome! But holy crap that tagline on the poster.. “A rather kinky tale of survival”. I wouldn’t call anything in this movie kinky.. it’s all just different versions of rape. :S

Maybe they used to be effective against projectile weapons, which in turn spurred the development of blaster weapons.. but then they already had so much armor lying around and just liked the look. :)

Oh sweet, I knew about that one sequel, but not that there would be so many. I’m really hoping Miller retains the rights so he has full control on what happens with it all though. He’s 70 so he might not be around for all those films, sadly. It would really suck if this franchise got milked to death now as everyone…

That is lovely news. Hopefully this also means that there won’t be any sequels after Miller is done with them. :)

Yeah I can understand that, I haven’t read the comics in like 10 years so I’m curious if they hold up for me.

I remember reading all the Preacher books during a lazy summer in my early teens. And now when this topic turned up I really felt like repeating that again this summer.

I’m about 70 pages in and I’m kind of bored... I’m hoping it will pick up soon.

Yeah I think that’s it, everything looking so “orchestrated” (apart from some obvious CGI at times). It’s all truly gorgeous, but the whole house just looks a bit too designed, rather than a real lived in place. It took me out of the scenes a bit. Still, it looks really damn beautiful, and I’m hoping the scary scenes…

The Ambitions of Girls and Empires

While I’m really happy about syfy doing, uh, scifi again. But I’m a bit worried that they’re just pumping out a bunch of really cheap shows now, instead of focusing on one show properly. Like The Expanse or something. The clips of that show has looked somewhat cheap unfortunately. And Killjoys looks insanely cheap.
