Could never just fix it with good old modern engineering, and probably a healthy dose of overbuilding?

Even when that car was new I thought is was teh second most awful car I had ever seen. The Aries K-car was still the chump there.
Just look up 1/12 scale pan car racing or “Snowbird Nationals”, and you will find out. On road, by itself, is utterly insane.
Also, I had to check. the rear deck lid was still firmly attached before the wreck. Putting a gurney flap on that, maybe an inch tall, would have provided enough downforce to not completely lose control.
Considering a 718 “Boxster/Cayman” relies heavily on a large gurney flap, more often referred to as a “deck spoiler”, having even a small one on the 911 in addition to the wing would.
The downforce would not be zeroed out withe h presence of the Gurney Flap. The flap would not be a replacement for the wing, although a smaller wing could be used. The flap would simply maintain a minimum amount of downforce to prevent total loss of control.
No more than the wing it used. Certainly less.
Really are you like five?
It could save the ICE for another 50 years at least.
This is why you never park at the work site.
“I, Robot” With Will Smith.
Gods. That sounds like”Reborn the Monster” on steroids.
Like I said “I think”. I’m not trying to be right here. Researching and mulling off, and examining at length in overt detail. None of that. Just having some fun here. And yes at a glance I believe I saw it an AWD.
Actually that car (I think it was Subaru.) the guy got on the hood of was AWD. It was high centered between the road and ditch. But it did need someone on the hood to get traction so it could get going.
Oh not pretend go-karts are just “harmless” toys.
Awful politically charged comment:
