Were they guaranteed a certain price when they put their money down? I think they’ll be able to afford the slightly extra cost. The matter of principle goes out the window when you can afford a $70K Corvette, only now to be around $71K.

This would be the viewpoint of someone who chooses not to look past their own nose to see what’s in front of them. 165K Americans are dead, and millions more are infected by COVID-19. If it takes a tad longer to buy a freaking Corvette because of a pandemic, so be it.
The fact that these Corvette people are whining about their Corvettes being delayed either live in a bulletproof bubble or are seriously lacking situational awareness. Look around you! 2020 is a hellpit of sadness and uncertainty. Millions are in serious danger of getting evicted. This is not the time to throw a fit…
This. If you’re still in a financially advantageous enough position to even have a chance to get a C8 Corvette, then I have zero sympathy for you.
The Passats from this era looked better than the Jetta in my opinion. The MkIV Jetta is still a really cleanly designed car, though.
Maybe the Forest Service should have these exclusively instead of the public. At least that way I wouldn’t have to see Broncos modded out like crazy so they match the size of their bro owners’ genitals.
DeVos never should have been within 100 miles of the Education Secretary’s office. She spent years trying to destroy Michigan’s public school systems now she’s destroying all of America’s public school systems. What are her credentials again? Oh yeah, donating enough money to Trump’s campaign, that’s right!
I’d bet 4 dollars that Trump somehow thinks this is true.
Also, I’ll take “regulatory burden” over the extreme shortsightedness of “Do whatever the hell you want, THIS IS AMERICA!”
Looks like they’re appealing to his base of mouthbreathers in a way only they can understand: “Ooh, big trucks!”
With prices of electric vehicles slowly getting cheaper to produce, why not make them Chevy’s? Our sales manager only orders the minimum amount of Bolts because right now they’re too expensive, but to become mainstream, they need to be under a mainstream brand. Granted, most of our customers are blue-collar, but only…
I don’t know why GM is deciding that Cadillac has to be the torch bearer for their electric vehicles. It would make more sense to have Chevy be that torch bearer beyond the Bolt so they can be introduced as entry level vehicles with entry level pricing. Maybe it’s because Cadillac is geared towards white collar buyers…
I just hope that for those of you who are in the position to even think about owning a new(or CPO)Porsche, you realize that you have it better than 90% of your fellow Americans. Just remember that.
4th gear: Steve, for the love of Pete, get your designers to design better interiors. They are all awful!
The inventory at the dealership I work at won’t be back to where we were new car wise before the pandemic for at least 6 months. Used can be a better value anyway. Business has surprisingly held steady, but I’m waiting for the dropoff amid the fallout of people being hit hard financially from the virus.
Now THIS is a truck, not the 55-60,000 dollar lux-o-trucks some people are willing to pay a second mortgage on. They were always meant for work, not luxury.
3rd gear: Hey Steve, as first order of being GM’s boss, can you please force your bean counters to stand down so GM can produce nice interiors with actual good material quality? Thanks.
Most people don’t have money down beyond 1000 dollars, tops.
I have an idea to combat the sales going down! How about making it cheaper and not having people pay 700 dollars a month for one(basically a second mortgage)?
Two tone interiors when done correctly are really nice. Two tone interiors done incorrectly, like this puke job in the Malibu are just cringey.
