Also, respecting that none of you savages care about this, I nonetheless humbly offer this content in the form of a more formally composed Kinja blog post:

I realize my post is longer than the original article. But hey, anyone who doesn’t want to read it can feel free to skip it when they finish the article and go back to Lifehacker.com and find some other article where I may or may not be offering another “hot take” that no one cares about.

Apologies in advance for bringing out the soap box. I know this is not the main thrust of your article David, and I don’t mean this as any sort of personal attack, but whenever someone casually dismisses the need for optical media because “we live in a streaming and downloadable world now,” I can’t help but preach...

“...once the old man finally croaks on the toilet.”

I haven’t looked into this that closely, but does anyone know if there’s anything stopping someone from theoretically grabbing an old Android phone (I’ve got a few, but you can also get a prepaid for around $30), putting a dummy Google account on it, and then signing up for this program on it?

I agree with you, I think. It’s unclear to me from this article (and I’m hesitant to visit any such subs to gain clarity) whether the term co-opted by MRAs is just “red pill,” or specifically “red pill blues.” If the three-word term is specifically something MRAs say, then it does seem a bit like they’re referring to

I don’t work in a restaurant, and never really have (I’ve got food service experience but in the form of a concession stand). I’m assuming restaurant staff don’t normally have employment contracts that include provisions to guarantee they’re paid in the event the restaurant is closed for weather.

I literally did this two days ago. Now I come to Lifehacker and it’s like, hey, that’s a life hack.

There are likely a few factors at play here, the fist two of which start at the same place.

When you said “yelled at server” my first thought was “Why would you assume this person works in IT?”

“But just because a lender is willing to extend it to you doesn’t mean it’s in your best interest.”

Not doubting you arrived at this joke on your own, but it was actually already used in the video above. :P

“...the small group of people who mix Nvidia graphics cards with FreeSync monitors...”

Fucklebee’s

That may be a con for you, but if I was buying it would be a pro. I’ve got a swivel mount glass and steel TV stand that was originally designed for up-to 55" sets, but with TVs being so much thinner and lighter than they were ten years ago, it could easily bear the weight of a high-end 65" display, so long as the

Wow. I used to work at a hospital but I hadn’t heard about this rule. That is a really great and fantastic step in the right direction. I had to dig a little deeper because I had serious doubts that the Congress we’ve had since 2017 had anything to do with this. They didn’t. It was a rule passed down from the Centers

But don’t forget to tip on the treats.

I can’t figure out the face he’s making. It looks like he was crying, but obviously that’s not it. So what he sneezing? Is this a photo of Donald Trump sneezing on a bunch of cheeseburgers he’s about to serve to the national college football championship team?

“essentially free” = You stole binder clips and rubber bands from work.

So apparently the bill passed, and (some) people are going to get paid for missed work when the shutdown ends, but...
