How did Spinal Tap not make it?

Miley FTW.

Someone in another thread suggested Charlise Theron (sp?) I could get down with that. I loved the Gilmore Girls, and I think Alexis Bledel is beautiful, but I also think she is a terrible actress. I could possibly see Revenge girl. I just don't know anything about her acting chops. Also, she veers "cute" rather

Absolutely Gweneth Paltrow. Absolutely. Now that I think about it, she and Thandie Newton sorta resemble each other. Face shape -wise

That's my issue. The second I heard who was cast I was like NOPE. Grace Kelly was this girlish, doll faced, painfully pretty thing. Nicole Kidman has her own sort of prettiness, but it's not right for this role. Even someone like Michelle Williams, who isn't as pretty, would feel more appropriate to me.

That was linked in the article. I read it already. Thanks.

I would like to add that I understand its not appropriate to go around referring to all your "almond eyed Asian friends," (gross), but if someone's eye shape needs to be described, it's useful. Now, if your friend is Asian, then it's probably unnecessary to describe their eyes beyond saying that your friend is Asian.

I read the article. I get that.

Me neither (I'm black). I also use it to describe all types of people with, well, almond shaped eyes. (Lots of West Africans, for example, have them.) I've always thought it was a pretty accurate descriptor, and obviously much preferred to referencing any sort of elegant angle or "slant" to ones eye. *cringe*

I agree with this. I'm a woman, but the messier one. I'm not a total trash bag though. What it is is that my tolerance for mess is higher. I will wash the dishes, but not after every single dirty dish. I will pick up, but not until the apartment starts to look messy (rather than every time a sweater gets thrown

In all fairness, I scrolled through that thread after reading your comment. There is only one comment referring to those tattoos as "Whit Trash" and it has no likes. Everyone else is either complementary of her tattoos, or complementary of tattoos in general but find hers to be a bit faded. Also, one guy is glad his

Wait, what? What are you talking about? That is literally the opposite of what my comment says.

Here is some soft science for you:

I have found a higher romantic interest level among my Jewish peers than otherwise, but it's obviously no science. I also have found that they skew liberal and share, with blacks, a certain healthy paranoia of institutions, which I like. I also enjoy certain other cultural similarities when it comes to verbal

No I get that, but I don't see what her being Jewish has to do with my thesis. I didn't know she was Jewish, but that doesn't change anything about my comment.

No argument there.

Yes. Some Jewish people are racist. Agreed. There are racists in every group. What's your point?

You do recognize that I in no way said all Jewish people would be model romantic partners don't you? Please see my response to Jeezy above for more detail.

What does that matter? In my experience its more likely for people who belong to a "minority" group to be able to relate to my own ethnic minority. That doesn't mean that all women/blacks/Jews/Hispanics etc are saints. Nor does it mean that I haven't met some great WASPS. There are racists and assholes, mensches

As a black woman, this sorta sh*t is why I don't think I could ever trust myself to wholly commit to a (non-Jewish) white person.
