Jared Taylor of American Renaissance, meanwhile, speculates that Ted Cruz will actually be better about “standing up for whites:”
Where is adultosaur?? Because I am at a VMA after party right this very second and stood next to T Swift as she escorted her squad to their booth. She is tall, skinny, shiny, and wasted. It looks like a fun squad to be real honest.
You know who else’s entire trip consists of “Here are my feelings?” Infants. Also, describing Kanye as “a little self-indulgent and self-aggrandizing” might be a candidate for understatement of the year.
I think what Kanye struggles with, is that he knows he sees the truth, but has trouble articulating it if he’s not rapping.
He just seems like a very sensitive person who does not think about what he is saying at all. Not before, not during, not after. My favorite part was when he said something like “Artists! It’s about how you feel!”
But... No one is saying the school (read: the director) isn’t acting within their rights. What people are saying is that the director has a few screws loose. I would be shocked if this woman still has a job a month from now.
It’s so weird, because I just had this conversation with one of my regulars where I bartend. She was pretty much regurgitating this same narrative and our discussion was getting heated until she confided that she had her first child at 13 (She’s now in her early 50’s). I tried to explain that at 13, a person is not…
My first reaction was Goddammit? Why Chrissie?! She has been my symbol of bad-assedness since about 1982, and this just breaks my heart. Thank you for such a lovely and much more compassionate perspective.
Thank you for saying this. I saw SOOO many people throwing pure, fire-hot hate at this woman for her comments without realizing: this isn’t Chrissie Hynde, blaming other women for their own assaults; no, this is a woman blaming herself for the horrendous crime that was committed against her and still trying,…
Rape is also a crime of power, where the victim feels helpless and out of control. Telling themselves that it was their own fault is a very common way of taking power back; changing the narrative so that the situation was due to their own actions - even wrong ones- allows them to feel like they aren’t so powerless.
1)Thank you.
Honestly, this attitude is very common from people who have been assaulted. When I responded to hospital calls, they would spend a lot of time thinking and critiquing their own actions. It’s horrible to think, but it’s sometimes easier to blame yourself than to confront the reality that a gang of men decided to…
Chrissy Hynde, I doubt you’re reading this, but...it wasn’t your fault.
“...she fucking hated that bitch.”
Yeah. Because the comment is designed to diminish her professional credibility with zero justification. MAYBE I could see it if he said it in the context of hearing she had behaved inappropriately to the other cop (“yeah, makes sense she was shitty, my wife worked with her and says she’s a bitch”). Also because it…
The difference between physical measurements and the size on the tag is a separate issue - the way the measurement is supposed to be made is pretty clear-cut. Vanity sizing is a scourge on your, my, and all our wellbeing.
All I know is that if my husband dealt with jock itch as often as I deal with a bra, I’d know about it. And be very concerned.
guys talk about them like they’re batteries or something
I’m good on babby, but while we’re on girl letter things, I’d be happy if someone explained all these letter creams to me BB CC etc.
