The crowd non-reaction is because we all knew it was coming to PS4/XBO sometime. Common sense should have told you that, regardless of what R* and TakeTwo said.

I am on PC. Won't be hitting those levels though. 1080p 60fps will be fine by me :)

It's just a case of personal preference really. Nintendo don't seem to care about generations anymore imho. They're doing their own thing completely.

Wii was basically a repackaged GameCube - a previous gen machine up against PS3 and 360 - the Wii U was Nintendo's attempt to catch up to Sony and Microsoft's consoles. So, Technologically speaking, Wii U is last gen. A late entry, but still last gen.

Wii U is nowhere near as powerful as PS4/XBO. It's very close to 360/PS3 so it'll be getting the other version.

You're forgetting the process of acceleration. Even through it only lasts a split second, he still physically accelerates past 179mph and up to light speed.
