Yup, it's at least (as far as I can tell) original spritework done from scratch. I just don't see anything (yet) that tells me they have someone with a high degree of skill on board. They at least have an artist with enough understanding of art 101 basics to handle visuals decently and keep characters consistent. This

Get back to you, eh?

I knew this was going to blow up into more massacres, because the media gave Rodger EXACTLY what he wanted, and what ALL these guys wanted. They're all ready to go out with a bang, many of them simply not doing it because the right moment hasn't presented itself. And now that they've seen a formula that appears to

I kind of feel like the original Zelda did, too, in a few places. I always got stuck on dungeon 5 (I think) at the room where you need to kill like 8 of those blue armor knights at once. It's not an insurmountable challenge but the fact that you don't get to retry with anywhere near an acceptable level of hearts and

Based on my experiences this game probably has an amateur artist on board. The animations and pixel art don't really seem to indicate someone who knows a lot about either. It's not hard to study animations and pixel art from games like Castlevania and approximate them in your own work. Pixel art is one of the easiest

They should at least offer the choice. Let me abolish the 'lives' system from my game, and not have to worry about waiting to play more or getting hit by ads or attempts to sell me on microtransactions, by paying a reaonable one-time price.

Nothing psyches me up and gets me in the mood to play a night wizard elf warlock better than chanting RPG with my bros while we pound down beers.

I'm furious right there with you, but I'm also furious at (many of the) people who agree with you.

I've been running a midrange build for 3 years now (GTX 465 and a Phenom X4 3.4 ghz CPU) and done much of both gaming and 3D modeling, and neither has given me much trouble with this rig.

Here's my problem:

I think the review comparison is more important than you give it credit for. Do the owners of the property being reviewed get a cut of the money from reviewers? Is that even fair to ask?

That's sad to hear. I would play it if it were like GW2. Just pay for it and it's yours, that's how it should be. But no, you pay for ostensibly nothing (the right to download the game?), and then you have to pay to have access to it for a temporary time.

You are a strange robot.

Honestly I don't have much interest in designing an MMO, myself. (the budget requirements make such a project totally beyond me anyway) I'd rather make a great single-player 2D action game. It's entirely possible I will do exactly that some time in the near-ish future.

I would think that, as the "smartest" species on the planet, we might also want to be the one that considers the ramifications of harming other creatures. Unless that's totally fine because we're so much "better" than they are.

A revival of 2D with a new Metroid, in beautiful HD with awesome, fluid and crisp visuals, debuting simultaneously on Wii U and 3DS. Full analog aiming enabled with the circle pad/analog sticks, and the ability to switch between beam weapons at any time. (like how Scurge: Hive did it)

It's a sidescrolling MMORPG. Most 2D MMOs are top/down or isometric, but Maplestory was very different, being a sidescroller with platforming and combat.

9000+, you say...

Once you have your coins, may I be so bold as to recommend Out There, Threes, and Monument Valley? The ever-useful Plex is also on sale for just 99 coins right now as well.
