Problem with systems like this is that they make battles wind up feeling inconsequential. What's the point in fighting fodder enemies if you're not even going to get any levels out of it? By the second half of Sticker Star, I found myself fleeing and dodging battles at every opportunity, running Mario around the map

While those countries have got the right idea (making people turn their lives around, not ruining/torturing them via taxpayer dollars in jail for the rest of their days) I think cases like this are just too far past the line where I'd say enough is enough.

That's my problem with mobile, though. What could be a good platform is mired by this kind of thinking. I WANT to play full-fledged games on there, or at least some decently-made ones. It doesn't take that much more effort to make an actual game over an infinite runner. Why not put in a bit more time and make

Now playing

This really brings up an excellent point about infinite runners, though. There's no level design or progression in most of them.

Really disappointed that a lot of these good puzzle games aren't hitting Android at all. Neither this nor Puzzlejuice are available on the Android app store, which is sad, because puzzle games are my absolute JAMS, and Puzzle and Dragons is about all I have right now.

Why would I think you're trolling? You haven't said anything disagreeable yet. :P

I actually find it less believable. Echolocation is a real thing we are capable of, because our ears are fairly good at sensing directional sound.

I loooove that soundtrack. I was pretty disappointed by the GoG version when I couldn't get the REAL music to play.

I would be interested to see how this version differs from GoG's. I was never able to get back into Descent 2 with the GoG build because no matter what I tried with their included fixes the mouselook always felt stilted and wrong.

I really recommend Descent 2 if you get a chance to play it. It's more like the arcade action and awesome level designs of 1, but with a lot more elements that make it deeper and more interesting. Crazy tough secrets, much more enemy and item variety, and some terrifying bosses to fight.

Personally I recommend the second game, but both are well worth playing. There's really nothing else like Descent out there, at least nothing that I've experienced.

What didn't you like about Descent 2? I can understand not liking 3 because it didn't sit as well with me either (the objectives complicated things in ways that weren't really conducive to that sweet, sweet arcadey experience, and I could swear last time I played I got totally stuck on level 2) but Descent 2 was a

The only thing negative I can say about Descent was simply how much better Descent 2 was. It was a great game still, but the second one added so much to the mix that the first game seems barebones by comparison.

I was going to put this as my game as well. Though if I had to choose a version, PPL on DS is the way to go. I can still play the N64 and GBC Pokemon ones or the SNES game, but the touchscreen controls are unbeatable. And being able to raise the field while in mid-combo opens up the potential for more insanity. Also,

You didn't even play it, did you?

Whoops, but there are about 10,000 other, better games out there made for the same thing on the same platform, including one that's functionally identical but more entertaining and well-made. Seriously, Piou Piou is the original, better game and it's on the same platforms, including a free Flash game you can play in

This really is one of those things that would be a lot more amazing if it were faked.

People are suckers for wasting their time on such a terrible game. I mean, it's incredibly easy to make a better, more fun version of this. Someone even did it 2 years before Flappy Bird. (see: Piou Piou)

Download Piou Piou instead. It's the game Flappy Bird ripped off and it's a lot better.

I think the message makes this one of the weakest GaMERCaT comics yet, though.
