Oh Ann... you beautiful tropical fish...

Nah. Kameo was packed with small/fine textures and an abudance of color/effects.

Sadly we're into the era where the diminishing returns of graphics are very apparent.

I don't know. The good thing with archetypes is that they can focus on being their own character. Citan kind of has too much going for him. On one hand, he's a slightly goofy, awkward scientist. But then he is everything else. It's kind of offputting and a bit too otherworldly that he excels in *everything*. He's a

Helps he was also by far THE most powerful character in the game when he gets his sword. Really, give him the Power Crisis accessory, leave him at 1HP... he was able to fight Gear-sized enemies with just the sword.

But it's not just a matter of a shorter game, it's also literally a different game between the Canon Epilogue in The Answer, and the translation of animated cutscenes to narrated talking heads

The "I am the Alpha and the Omega" text, the haunting opening cinematic and then the arrival in Dajil are some of my fondest memories in gaming.

I used to like characters like that, but now I find these flawless, oh-by-the-way-I-speak-that-language-too characters to be annoying and completely unrelatable. I mean, why did they even have to add the fact that Citan made that thing?

I agreed with Kamitani's history of weird women. Remember Raijin from Muramasa?

Here's an interesting post from the HokutoAndy from the previous trailer giving some insight on the designs of the Dwarf and Sorceress.

No Touching!

That's actually not my intention at all. In fact, I know for certain the team has Mexican-American developers. I try to make clear that I don't necessarily buy into cultural ownership. They could be an entirely Iranian team for all I care. What matters is what they do right, wrong, and if they do it with care.

I've never heard the line of reasoning that "authorital intent is considered a fallacy" before. I'm very much interested in hearing more. Do you have some links I could go to to see what people are saying about it?

I think the issue here is one of authorial intent.

Great point. The company is based in Toronto, which is about as diverse a place as you'll find anywhere. And Latin Americans are coming here in droves, so much so that you're more likely to hear people in a public place speaking Spanish (or Mandarin, or Portuguese, or Italian, or Greek) than French, which is one of
