Is it just me or do those graphics look fairly mediocre?

Id be interested to see if this changes the feel of the game. There are plenty of games Ive played with home made texture packs where the textures are higher res & nicely done, but it somehow makes the overall game feel home made rather than professional. System Shock 2 jumps out as an example.
Please let them add a LAN only option.

Setting out a decent plate of food is definitely worth the near zero effort it takes to do it. I dont cook meals with presentation in mind (mostly), but its always possible to make the food look better or worse by how its served.
