Jury still out for me. Still unsure how on earth you're supposed to remember the layout for a new game when in essence the buttons on the trackpad move position and there's no visual cue to tell you what button is where, or what it's even called.

I'd love to get some decent hard sci-fi concepts into computer games. The fact that Mass Effect seems to be considered as the best of the scene makes me sad.

I'd love to see a decent hard sci-fi story in a game. The fact that pap like Mass Effect passes for decent sci-fi in the gaming world makes me sad.

Yeah, they look like renders. Sure they're good renders, but you can just tell off the bat. Hard to say why, but you can.

I think the PS4 is pretty horrible to be honest. That slanty look really does nothing for me. That said it might look better in the home than in promo shots. Maybe?

In other news - sun rising tomorrow.

Hmm. Not quite sure I'd agree. Certainly wasn't a set-top. Portable (just), took batteries, came with its own screen and controller, just about all-in-one. Maybe it straddled categories.

Aaah, with you (or him, whatever).

Perfect timing. I've just gone very paranoid recently so have been upgrading my overall privacy/security including updating a bunch of logins and passwords in Lastpass, setting up a dd wrt vpn router for all my home traffic - and the next step was installing Boxcrypt or similar for Dropbox. However this'll save me a

Unless you're including rare Japan only releases or some slightly obscure handhelds like the virtualboy, I think he's right isn't he?

All indications are that we're going the other way. Devices and services are the new way forward /fad (delete as you see fit). Tablets and smartphones show you less of the OS than ever before. Even Microsoft have bet the house on it.

Iv actually been wondering whether I could go back to a dumb phone and just carry a small tablet with me instead of a smart phone. Feels like they do a lot of things the same. The only think stopping me really is the lack of a decent camera on all the tablets I've seen.

Not quite how I'd phrase it, but there's truth in what you say.

Er... are you saying that Google are just as bad? That was my point.

"Divine divinity" turned out ok.

The way that Google grep your data isn't by using the hardware from your phone, or using secret messages. It doesn't need to. Its by analysing your searches, the things you buy/download from Play Market, your location data, by searching your gmails, so they know for example what you buy from Amazon or eBay, what

Firstly I cant find anywhere that says that the game is running at 4K. It just says 60fps and a quick google shows no reference to it. My guess is that its actually 1080p and you're mistaken.

That'd be a false economy. If you stick a $400 card into, say, a 2 year old rig you're gonna have to upgrade the whole thing anyway in about 2/3 years if you wanna continue playing PC games that have an appreciable difference to the Xbox One by that time. A console on the other hand will last you about 6/7 years

Agreed. My iPad 3 is awful after the update. Laggy as hell.

Probably easier to turn your monitor on its side than your telly. I assume it still supports that?
