For a launch that's pretty strong. Frankly with most console launches you end up with something that, in time, you realise is a piece of crap (man i hated Altered Beast). But Forza alone is a title I'd be very happy with.
Quite right. I usually find launches are big let downs, but there are a couple there I would love to get my hands on.
I think, if I read correctly, you do in fact need root to back up app settings and app data.
Classic example of how timing is all important in the tech world.
Xbox is part of a small division at Microsoft. The big income comes from Business, then Servers and then Windows.
Not really a fair comparison. For one half life wasn't a particularly technically impressive game when it came out by FPS standards, which was in 1998 btw. It was impressive in how immersive it was, not for its engine, which was a bit ropy even then.
PC games always look better in terms of higher res and framerate. Whats interesting here is that a PC game getting some extra development effort on a FPS is unusual these days.
AFAIK there isnt a way in tasker of changing the volume from a specific app.
I think there is still some nostalgia for the collective viewing experience. Witness the Twitter meltdown after that moment in Game of Thrones, people enjoyed being shocked together. Plus things like reality TV shows where you phone and vote or sports events are better live.
The reason that Sony are excited is the same reason that Apple, Microsoft, Google and Samsung are. They think that the old model of cable/satellite TV providers will be dying out in 5 to 10 years. They all want to make sure that they're in the forefront when that happens.
With the odd letter thats fine. But mission critical documents, particularly finance documents in Excel, have to work 100% of the time. 99.9% is not good enough.
Wow, I could have written exactly that post, since I had exactly the same experience when I made the same mistake.
I think poweramp has mono mixing
You obviously dont remember the Half LIfe 2 launch day then?
Fine. I just thought that Rockstar were heading in a certain direction.
Ha, just the opposite, Ive been playing since GTA 1. the early games were that daft to be honest, even 3. The over the top stuff really arrived with VC and flourished with San Andreas.
I really hoped they'd have gotten rid of the parody stuff from the new game. I thought it ruined GTA4. You had Nico Belic looking wistfully into his drink, pondering about how he was just a product of his environment, while at the same time you had adverts for Sprunk and could go and shag prostitutes. I just felt it…
I thought Los Santos was the city and San Andreas was the state?
I dont think thats the case any more. MS stats record that 50% of Xbox use is for non-gaming activities - films, TV, music etc. And thats on a device without blu-ray. You don't have to use it for anything other than games if you don't want, but the fact is that lots of other people are.
