This is probably the answer. Once you have 4-5 cars, even if you drive 30K miles a year, that’s not a lot per car. If you live somewhere with heavy snow, you might have an SUV or other vehicle that gets hit with winter duty vs. driving fun cars in slush that will dissolve the car.

I don’t think they sold a V8 (or V10 for that matter) wagon in the E60 body style in the US... That would have been awesome.
