The innards of the differential are also the same in the Z3.  A 3.15 LSD from a Z3 6-cylinder can be easily found in junkyards now for about $80.  That’s what we did in our E30.

For the purpose of this car, yes. If you haven’t, read the Road & Track review of it written by IndyCar driver JR Hildebrand. The car’s purpose is clear, then.

“Options” implies either of us has a million to drop on a supercar.  I’m happy with my fleet of incredibly well-used cars.

I agree.  And, I don’t think this car is that ugly (and I hate to disagree with Fancy Kristen)

Correct.  And, if beauty is ranked higher than performance, this might not be the McLaren (or car) for you.

It isn’t supposed to be good looking, is my take.

I can’t do it.... On my Cayman, I still say “hatch” ortrunk.”

As a long-time (30+ year) owner of a car with a “frunk,” I hate the term. It’s just the trunk!  And the other trunk if you have a Cayman/Boxster.

Just gimmie Fried Chicken!

I agree with you. I meant to say the aircooled cars are a totally different animal to the modern 911s. I screwed up there.

Yep, me too.

Nope, I’m happy with my Cayman. No need to shop a similar vintage 911.

I’m with you two... We have a 2007 Z4 3.0si coupe.  That’s the newest BMW of ours.  And is likely to stay that way out of 10 of ‘em...

I got in to an Elise once. I might still be stuck in there. Inside room was good enough. There was no way to get through the door openings for me.

While I will agree that the original “bring a trailer” intent of Bring a Trailer has been eroded, there’s still interesting, cheap cars listed (like this Bavarian cream puff I’m watching....)

Or, you know, stick a knob on the dash that requires no lengthy sentence that can be misinterpreted (or not even heard with the windows down).

10-20 minute stops every two hours kills your average speed on a road trip...  Although this wouldn’t be my road trip car since my trip planning wouldn’t center around the availability of charge points (Super or otherwise).

Hell, I bought my used Porsche off of their forums!

Yes, but most private equity companies have a very short timeline. Buy in, “fix” or “streamline” operations in 18 to 24 months and then cash out. There is no concern for the long-term viability of the operation.

So, my artisinal, extra virgin motor oil isn’t a thing?
