First Gear:  This is standard competitive intelligence.  I’d actually be very disappointed if they didn’t get all the publicly available information they could.  Now, grabbing a clip board, leaving the tour, and pretending to be a Ford employee is unethical and illegal.  But, doing things open to any member of the

No kids tips the scales in the 987's favor for me.  Race track membership tips it further.

I’ll disagree. You aren’t putting anyone you actually like in the backseat of a 911. So, it’s uncovered storage. In a Cayman you get the exact same trunk as a 911 up front. And... another trunk in back.

Nope. Why would it?

I kept it for about 18 months, and still sold it while they were in demand.  Didn’t do too badly on that (this was in 2000/2001).

Not necessarily true...  I just did the first oil change on our F-150 at 3.800 miles instead of taking it in.

In 2000, I bought an Audi S4 that had that limit noise. I dialed it up to 155mph since my car had a limiter at 130mph.

Note, clever usage of a Dihydrogen Monoxide spill in the photo..

I’ve got aircooled VW experience!

Actually, the MNHSC is in St. Cloud, across from the prison on US 10.

The z06 “leapfrogged” it by about 9 hp. And they were so proud they slapped a “405hp” badge on the side.

I was lucky enough to have the opposite happen. Went off track in to a poorly-placed ditch and flipped the car, landing back on my wheels.

No shit, right?  Wait...

Yeah, fun fact. Chicago didn’t want to pollute its drinking water (aka Lake Michigan) with its own sewage. So, it opted to just send it down stream for other’s to deal with, and reversed the course of the river . There are now plants and treatment centers, but not at the time...

The water level of the Chicago River is carefully controlled ever since the Army Corp of Engineers reversed its flow in 1900.

I’ve seen him do it! At Pebble Beach one year, I watched some dude named “Leno” jump the rope to go talk to Nick Mason. Then, that weekend, Mason drove his 250 GTO on track.
