"I'd do her, do her, do her, if I were drunk maybe, do her, do her..."

You know what I would pay for? The ability to not play against, or at least auto-mute, all the whiney children who don't yet know how to wield profanity and any other degenerate, racist, homophobic douchebags that populate online gaming. They ruin the experience and make me sad for the future of humanity.

Is that Jason Lee? Can't tell over my shitty laptop speakers.

You're thinkin' what I'm thinkin'. Given the typically insane markup, as you suggest, combined with all the other tech thrown in, the headphones can't be of any quality. If they are anything like these [www.walmart.com] , which I own, totally not worth it, even with wireless, Dolby DSP, and a mic.

It's funny, I know a few people that have said the graphics are horrible for a current gen title. I just don't see it. To me, it looks like more like a more detailed version Half Life 2, and often when I play (I've played a metric shit-ton of L4D and lately a lot of L4D2), I get the urge to play HL2 again. It's

I know I'm slipping because this didn't immediately come to mind when I read the article's title.

I like this story.

This game sounds more and more compelling with each bit of press. Cannot wait for it.

Joplin, MO

Checked Gamestop and it's still $59/$49 online. This could be a pricing error, but Sweet Jesus that's a big difference.

Actually, the way I understand it, retailers have to follow a price map, at least on newer titles. This means that the price is set by the manufacturer and most price-drops come at their behest. Also, places like Gamestop and Play-N-Trade (where I used to work) make $5-$8 on each new title sold, and often lose money

Bet the place reeks of man-butt.

So, the snake oil that is 3D is ruining 2D also. Nice. If it takes an act of congress to change lenses, why can't the goddamn projector change the lenses itself? We live in the future, for Christ's sake. This is why I don't vote.

Particle board is good for cheap material, but many believe really good baltic-birch plywood is the "deader" material. I've even heard of a guy using aircraft grade aluminum.

One of the common criticisms of the first Conduit was that the graphics sometimes looked like they belonged on the N64, so I honestly don't think it's hyperbole in this case.

Sonofabitch. Well, here we go...

Don't blame the consumer, or even the resale outlets for the market you are in. As many have pointed out below, the cost of a new release is prohibitively expensive for most. Without the ability to trade in a game, the cost/benefit ratio drops severely for the purchase of a game I might not like, and more times than

Wonder of if MS would be so nice if one owns a pre-owned unit... probably SOL.

The games of yesterday were built to be replayed over and over. I suppose part of this is their being closer to their coin-op roots. Also, at that time it was more about enjoying the gameplay mechanics than story, or even objective.
