Yes, Paula. Being a racist is JUST like having an inborn trait that hurts no one and can get you killed in certain parts of the world. You guys are practically twins.

tl;dr I'm not racist, BUT...

Now you have an inkling of how black people have been treated in America for decades.

Well, the info came from a "source" which is usually code for made-up BS. So it's possible that their relationship isn't even that deep or that serious, they could just be having fun. I say just take it one day at a time.

Paula. Excuse me, Paula? Shhh...

"That's just how people talk" is not an acceptable excuse. Nor is "Eh, that's just the way it is".

You, you understand the soul of a woman.

My parents indulged recreationally. And I sort of hate them. (They also smoked so much weed my mom would forget to pick me up from elementary school so...)

Hi Paula!
Y'know the thing about the gay black basketball player is that he's gay which is no one's business and completely relevant to his basketball playing ability.
You on the other hand are slathering southern charm on a big racist turd and trying to get us to eat it and be fucking charmed. And charmed we ain't.

Or "that black guy we named a holiday after."

It's cause we both brown meat, y'all!

That's a pretty huge blanket statement. I also grow up in the south and still live there and I only heard Michael Sam's race mentioned in regards to the significance of it being a black player who was the first to come out. I don't hear people say "that black football player" and honestly that would be sort of odd.

When has being a wife and mother stopped anyone from indulging in their love of coke?

Dear Paula,

It is offensive, though.

I feel like Paula will never be able to separate herself from this not just because she is racist but because she is obsessed with race. She can't help herself. She could have just said "that gay football player" as that is actually something of note that distinguishes him from other members of the NFL. I mean

Well...at least she didn't compare herself to Martin Luther King Jr.

Cara is 21, a highly successful model, loves coke. Being a wife and mother would be a surprising move.

You mean Paula Deen is walking around with a maybe boner?
