I think it was discussed, but they were concerned that the Japanese military would cover it up and/or that the Japanese military would dig in for better preparations if they saw it, thus making null the idea of using the bomb to basically shock them into surrender. Yeah, I hear you on that Allen/Ginobili play. But as a no-call, it really didn't stand out to me as particularly egregious, and it was particularly tough to see what was happening in real time. I mean, we can replay it in slow-motion all we want and pick out every tiny point of contact, but it's a much different thing

Canon is more an idea than a practice. It's very malleable, especially for the properties that you identified. They're compelling stories, but also highly commercial entities and subject to the always changing whims of creators, corporations, and audiences. I mean, you're not talking Gilgamesh, but stuff that in the
