There is nothing wrong with key-based DLC. They are simply saying that they are not willing to sell everything they worked to create for the price of a normal console game, but instead of holding it all hostage, they are willing to let you get most of their product for the normal price.

Often I disagree with posts made here, but this is the first time I can remember something that is actually immoral being posted.

So, even though it is not news anymore, I want to know what you think about the recent political shift in Japan, and what, if anything, it means for gaming.

Can't speak to the games themselves, having only played Uncharted 2 as yet with the others hopefully coming soon, but I am glad you employed the same utilitarianism in selecting "best game" as you do with reviews, and used a Borda Count to really get what was the best game in the aggregate.

Anyone have any contemporary sci-fi book recommendations? I never know what to look for if I don't have the test of time to weed out the bulk of the undesirables.

So, surprised no one has talked about this in off-topic, but what do you think about the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United v. FEC?

This is good to hear, considering most great things come from individuals, not groups compromising with each other. I do not mean to say that you can't get any help from others, just that generally in a committee one person takes the lead as necessity demands if something is to be great, as Metal Gear is.
