And yet they had multiple extremely successful shows. You’re talking like all of their shows flop, which is simply not true. At this point they are not at all different from other companies that make shows, and are arguably doing much better. I think they have the best originals these days, and definitely beat for

MGS4 was my entry into the series, and cutscenes were honestly what made me fall in love with it. They were so damn good I couldn’t stop playing.

The bar for “recreating” something seems really, really low these days.

The hardest part is the engine, which is ready and done from Part 1. Everything else is easier and shouldn’t take their entire team to accomplish.

Find it pretty funny how people are like “I was never interested in this, I’m glad it’s cancelled”. Like duh. But why would you be glad others didn’t get what they wanted if you didn’t care either way?

Eh, Factions was one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played, and it’s more than 10 years old. Just upgrade it to TLOU 2 engine with some refreshments, and it would be pretty damn great.

I guess it was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. Pretty pumped about it, but at the same time honestly don’t understand the ridiculous hype around the visuals.

Didn’t mean to reply! *deleted comment*

Just a few years after Telegram, no biggie.

Back in my day, Search and Destroy was hands down the best mode. I don’t even know what DMZ is. Is SaD still in the game?

They’ll abuse him as much as possible in flashbacks.

I mean yeah that’s fair, but I meant long-term support and the series itself. There were no new entries and no official content after a couple of years.

As a huge fan of the series since L4D demo, I don’t remember anyone at the time thinking anything about it was broken, we were all having a blast and just wanted more. Releasing a whole new full-price game felt very weird and anti-consumer.

Performance was what killed it for me. I had a RTX 3080 at the time, and was not exactly pleased by the glorious 25 fps at max settings. Turned the RT off completely and had to enable DLSS to get playable framerates, but that also meant the game being blurry. Combined with a bunch of bugs that was enough to stop

Uhhh, whoosh indeed because I don’t get it apparently.

Uhh what? In 3 years we had one full release (Part 2), one remake (Part 1), and now one remaster. Then again it’s due to a new generation arriving, the only reason they are doing this is because Part 2 was released right before PS5, same as TLOU with PS3 and PS4 back in the day, so they ported it to the new gen now

Why? Two releases, two remasters. And one complete remake

In a year or two when they announce/release Part 3 it won’t be the case anymore, so it won’t be a red flag?

I don’t know, two games in a decade, with one remake and two remasters, doesn’t feel like anything close to “fatigue” to me. We have had CoD on an annual release for longer than that, and during the same period we had 7 Assassin’s Creed games, 5 Far Cry games, none of which really came close to being GoTYs or anything

I remember people bitching about the TLOU1 PS4 Remaster, but it made so much sense. Sure it was a year later, but there was no PS4 when the original came out, and the PS4 version ran at higher resolution AND double the framerate, which was incredibly huge for how the game felt. I absolutely loved it and played its

It’s $10, is that really that much?
