I think there would be a lot more revenue in ads/apps sales considering they'd be profiting on a continual basis, versus consumers coming in for an update every now and then. Some business models don't translate well to others. There's also a huge difference in product lifespan.

I don't think the profit margins would be large enough for a sustainable business. Free upgrades on cellphones work because they make money off of service/apps. Find something to replicate that manner of the business and it's a lot more viable.

THIS x 1,000. The MKIII is a great tourer and can handle pretty well if tuned right, but you can definitely feel the weight. Especially when you're fighting for traction around a bend, or needing to suddenly stop. Still a great car though.
